Flight Mechanics

(for me)

Birds learn the hard way

 A shove out the tree,

Out of the nest

To spread their wings

And gain the knowledge

To fly, to soar~

The Flight Mechanics

Of wing propulsion

With the wind through the feathers

And the tail to turn

In the right way

To left, right, up or down,

Then seconds before they know

Updrafts kick in and they soar

High into the sky

Over trees and walls,

Through storm after storm

And though they may need rest

From time to time

The whole world opens up

For their Freedom beckons~

The Flight Mechanics, son

Stands built into your soul,

So open up and fly

Freedom awaits!
